FAQ 🤓

  • I have no formal training as a coach. That said, I am an active mentor to first-time founders and founders in the early stages of venture building. Over the last 10 years, I’ve been in successive leadership roles where I’ve had the privilege of coaching teams. I was also a consultant and advisor for five years, and shaped my approach to problem solving and reducing ambiguities from an intuitive place.

  • Everyone is different, and I meet individuals at all points on the path to clarity. That said, getting an initial understanding and context regarding your journey to-date, tends to provide the right launchpad into the present moment and future aspiration. We may use brainstorming tools like Miro during sessions to outline and visualize things, and can get tactical with role playing exercises to practice hard conversations. For some people this process can take a few sessions and for many it can be a journey spanning weeks or longer. It really depends on what's right for you and where you are.

  • All my coaching sessions are virtual, due to the convenience and (often) the geographic spread between myself and my clients. On an exceptional basis, if you are in Berlin, we can arrange for a coaching session in-person. Email me to arrange.

  • My external coaching slots are limited, as I also work full time as a Managing Director at a stealth fintech and Founderland. I only work with a few clients at a time and almost all are on longer-term bases. That said, if your situation is urgent, you can email me and we can work something out.

  • Finding the right coach-client match can take time. If you buy more than one session and decide it's not the right time for you, unused sessions are 100% refundable.

  • Supply and demand. Clients tell me they appreciate someone who actively listens, cares about coaching, and has a long and diverse background as a leader. I want to make sure I work with people who will benefit from my coaching and are willing to invest their time and effort to get incredible results. Lastly, I have a pretty challenging career, a family, and actively coach a handful of long-term mentees; so my external coaching time is limited.

  • I consider coaching my passion project. Some day, I might do it full time but for now it is a highlight of my limited free(er) time.

  • I ask for three days notice for cancellations. Similarly, if I need to cancel I will give you three days notice or if it's truly last minute (i.e. less than 72 hours), I will give you an additional session credit in addition to rescheduling the missed appointment.

  • I try to have 5-session packages available whenever I have space for another long term client. If you don't see it available, that's usually because I'm not taking any new long-term clients since I only work with 3-4 clients at a time. Prices are based on my availability and client demand.
